Indian Creek Veterinary Hospital PA., a small animal medicine and surgical hospital, has been a part of the Topeka community since it was built in 1993, when Dr. Mike Kobuszewski opened the hospital in North Topeka. “Dr. Mike’s” two sons, Dr. Jonathan Kobuszewski and Dr. Joshua Kobuszewski joined their dad’s practice in 2006. The three veterinarians are all graduates of Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. “Dr. Mike”, “Dr. Jon”, and “Dr. Joshua” are here to discuss options for your pet as well as answer any questions you may have. Our goal is to give the pet and its owner the best opportunity for success. We will treat your pet as our own.

Dr. Michael C. Kobuszewski, known as “Dr. Mike”, initiated the practice of veterinary medicine at Indian Creek Veterinary Hospital PA, Topeka, Kansas, in 1993. Dr. Mike received his undergraduate degree in 1974 from Marymount College of Kansas. He received his doctorate degree from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1979.

He owned and operated Jefferson County Veterinary Clinics in Oskaloosa and Perry from 1979 through 1992. There he operated a three person mixed animal practice. He was joined by his two sons, Dr. Jonathan and Dr. Joshua, at the Indian Creek Veterinary Hospital in 2006. Dr. Mike and his two sons offer over 50 years combined practice experience. Dr. Mike has been a board member of the Emergency Animal Clinic of Topeka since its beginning in 1999.

He was married to his wife, Carol in 1972. She is his receptionist and office manager. They have three children, Dr. Jonathan, Dr. Joshua, and Annie along with nine grandchildren. Dr. Mike has operated a small cattle operation for 30 years. He loves the outdoors as a hunter and fisherman as well as attending his grandchildren’s activities.

Dr. Jonathan Kobuszewski, “Dr. Jon” developed a passion for science and the human animal bond as a young man while watching his father practice veterinary medicine and surgery. Following graduation from Seaman High School in 1995, he spent four years playing college baseball all the while focusing on being prepared to enter veterinary school. Dr. Jon received both a Bachelor of Animal Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Kansas State University.

In 2006, he joined his father’s practice at Indian Creek Veterinary Hospital PA. Though well schooled in all areas of veterinary medicine, Dr. Jon particulary enjoys dermatology and surgery. He and his wife Jennifer are blessed with four children, Micah, Madison, Noah, and Haden.

Dr. Joshua Kobuszewski, like his brother Dr. Jon, spent many days at his fathers clinic and out in the field helping his father Dr. Mike with his cattle operation during and after high school. After “Dr. Josh” graduated from Seaman High School in 1997, he played basketball and baseball at Cloud Community College. Dr. Josh received both his Bachelor of Science and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Kansas State University.

Dr. Josh joined the practice at Indian Creek Veterinary Hospital in 2006 and enjoys his time spent with his clients and patients. He and his wife, Christina have two children Mallory and Jensen. Dr. Josh has two brittanys, Hank and Meadow and a cat, Macy.
