Diagnostic Services

At Indian Creek Veterinary Hospital, We provide a variety of diagnostic services for the benefit of our clients and patients. These tools provide accuracy and efficiency so we can diagnose health conditions your pet may have.

radiology

Radiology, or x-rays, allows us to see inside the body of your pet, identifying problems with parts of the body such as the lungs, heart, bones, oral cavity, and abdominal cavity. We can use this tool to identify fractures, growths, obstructions, foreign bodies, and more.

We provide glaucoma testing at Indian Creek Veterinary Hospital. This condition is one which can be very dangerous, so it is important to identify and diagnose it right away. When a patient has glaucoma, fluid pressure inside the eye increases, causing damage to the optic nerve, loss of vision, and potentially complete blindness. Our ocular testing also helps us diagnose common diseases such as corneal ulcers, keratoconjuntivitis sicca (Dry eye) and cataracts. Some symptoms of ocular disease may include:

- Eye Redness

- Discharge or tearing

- Sensitivity to light/squinting

- Pain

- Cloudiness in the eye

- Bulging eye

At Indian Creek Veterinary Hospital, we perform a variety of diagnostic tests for our patients. More importantly, we can process and analyze many of these test results right on our facility. Our in-house laboratory provides basic testing, such as fecals for parasite detection, blood glucose, urine, cytology of ears and potentially cancerous masses, feline leukemia and FIV testing in cats, heartworm testing in dogs. We have specialized instruments and diagnostic capabilities that allow us to have results quickly and efficiently. If needed, we are also able to send tests to a local reference laboratory. The tum-around time is usually within 24 hours, depending on the tests requested.
